Central Bureau of statistics announced that in January 2017 the consumer price index declined by 0.2%, in line with experts ‘ predictions.
In particular, the price of shoes has decreased by 10%, clothing by 9%, car insurance – 6.2%, for services to homeowners – by 0.8%. At the same time fuel price increased by 3.3% and electricity – by 3.5%.
Note that last week, CBS has made changes to the calculation of the price index. The new index is based on the results of the survey on household expenditures for 2014-2015, prices of 2016. Housing will be 25% of the index is 24.7% in previous years, transport and communications is 19.3%, food (including fruits and vegetables) is 16.7%, education, culture and entertainment – 11,9%.
