Thursday, June 8, after a long delay, the government of India announced the date of the first ever official visit of Prime Minister of India to Israel.
As reported by NDTV, the head of the Indian government Narendra modi will arrive in Israel with a three-day visit on 4 July, and on the same day, will meet with the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.
The next day, modi will speak to members of the community of Indian Jews, about 80 thousand of which live in Israel.
Thus unlike most other world leaders, along with visiting Israel and the Palestinian authority, in the plan of modi’s visit a visit to Ramallah is not included.
In recent months, Israel has attended several workers ‘ delegations of high-ranking Indian officials dealing with the preparation of modi’s visit.
Apparently, the last of these preparatory visits will be the arrival of the commander of the Indian Navy Admiral Sunil of Linby, which will arrive next week and will stay in Israel for 4 days. Indian Navy is one of the largest customers of Israeli weapons.
