Thursday, August 3, the Prosecutor’s office of tel-Avisko district announced his decision not to initiate criminal proceedings against the former General Director of Bank «Hapoalim» Zion Kenan, in respect of which there was suspected sexual harassment of a subordinate.
A preliminary investigation was started after the appearance of publications, according to which Zion Keinan, even before the appointment of the CEO, during a trip to Kazakhstan in December 2006 molested his subordinate.
According to these reports, the employee was paid a higher compensation so that she resigned from the Bank. During the preliminary investigation, the police found that the Bank, in accordance with the instructions on prevention of sexual harassment conducted its own investigation, which was conducted by former Chairman of the Israeli national labor court dispute with judge Stephen Adler, and came to the conclusion that there is no reason for going to the police.
In 2016 the investigators, «Lahav-433» started rumors. «Victim» refused to file a complaint and cooperate with investigators. Investigators «Lahav-433» examined the records, interviewed witnesses, examined video from surveillance cameras and came to the conclusion that there were no grounds for legal action.
Note that Zion Keinan resigned March 31, 2016, seven months after coming into office. He did not explain the reasons for its decision.
