Rasmussen Reports conducted a survey among American citizens to determine their attitude to the former U.S. Secretary of state Hillary Clinton. The survey was conducted on September 10-11, against the publication of the book «What happened» in which Clinton tried to explain to the citizens the reasons of his defeat in the presidential election.
According to the survey, only 30% of potential us voters believe that Clinton still has a political future. 61% of respondents said that it was time to retire (after the defeat in the elections was 55%). And among the men much more than women, those who believe that Clinton’s time to retire.
Almost half of respondents (49%) believe that the presence of Clinton on the national scene detrimental to the interests of the Democratic party. Only 21% said her presence in politics is useful for the party.
The most likely reason for the defeat of Hillary Clinton in the election, 44% of respondents called the weakness of her candidacy. Only 11% believe that she lost because she was a strong opponent. 40% agree with Clinton that the main reason for its defeat was the external factors.
Respondents generally Democrats are more favorable to Clinton than respondents Republicans. For example, 59% of Republicans and 53% of participants do not associate themselves with any of the major parties, believe that the main reason for the defeat was the weakness of her candidacy.
