The Stockholm international Institute of peace studies (SIPRI) presented a progress report on the global arms trade.
In this report the leading exporters of weapons called the United States, Russia, China, France, Germany, UK, Spain, Italy, Ukraine and the Netherlands.
The main importers of weapons in the same document States, India, Saudi Arabia, China, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Turkey, Pakistan, Vietnam, USA and South Korea.
Israel in the report of SIPRI referred to as the second largest (after the U.S.) importer of German arms and the third largest (after Russia and the US) exporter of arms to India. In the TOP 10 either as exporter or as importer of weapons Israel misses. Although the Israelis are considered the most effective weapon exporters in the world are the main sellers of the UAV in the global market and even surpassed the Russians in the ranking of suppliers of light weapons.
The report also States that, since 2004, the volume of the arms trade has constantly increased and for the period of 2011-2015 in comparison with the previous five years has increased by 14%, according to NEWSru.com.
The US accounts for 33% of total military exports. For the period 2011-2015 delivery to other countries increased compared to the 2006-2010 years by 27%.
