The Republic of Cape Verde promised not to vote against Israel in UN

The evening of 2 August the Prime Minister and foreign Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his blog on Facebook wrote that the West African Republic of Guinea-Bissau has pledged not to vote against Israel in UN.

«The Republic of Cape Verde said that from now on will not vote against Israel in UN. The decision was made after my meeting with the President of Cape Verde Jorge Carlos Fonseca, which was held two months ago at the summit of ECOWAS (Economic community of West African countries). I welcome this decision, which is the result of intense development in Israel’s relations with African countries,» wrote the head of government.

Note that the participation of Netanyahu in the ECOWAS forum was a success from the point of view of promoting the interests of Israel. Held behind the scenes economic forum meeting, Netanyahu agreed with the President of Senegal on the normalization of relations. Netanyahu promised to return Ambassador to Senegal, and in response to the President of Senegal promised to support granting Israel observer status in the African Union, composed of 55 countries of the Black continent.

In Liberia, Netanyahu also met with President of the Gambia by Adam barrow, President of Mali, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, President of Togo Faure Essozimna, Gnassingbe, President of Guinea alpha Conde, President of Cape Verde Jorge Carlos Fonseca and the President of côte d’ivoire Alassane Ouattara.
