To date this document is signed by more than 36.000 persons, for the consideration of the petition the authorities it is necessary to collect not less than 50,000.
The appeal States that in 2010 when a collapsed Chilean mine «San josé», from under the ground were extracted 33 miners that spent at a depth of 700 meters for three months (from 5 August to 14 October).
«In Vorkuta if it’s only been three days. People can be alive, and even if their death would be more ethical on the part of the company «Vorkutaugol» to hand the body over to relatives and friends, instead of flooding the mine. A commercial company may not dispose of a life, at its discretion, human duty of saving lives cannot be sacrificed to commercial benefits cessation of rescue operations» – said in the appeal.
It also extends to the head of the Ministry of emergency situations Vladimir Puchkov and the Minister of civil defence Alexander Knyazev requirement to «intervene», to continue the rescue operation «and get people living or dead».

Recall that the first explosion at the mine was on the 25th of February. At the time of the caving underground there were 110 people. 80 of them brought to the surface, were found the bodies of four miners. 26 people were reported missing. On the night of 28 February, on mine there was a new explosion, which killed six of the rescuers. After the explosion in the mine were suspended all rescue work.
Last Sunday, the emergencies Ministry and the company Vorkutaugol has announced that survivors beneath the earth remained, therefore, in the region declared three days of mourning for the victims.
