The security service of Ukraine (SBU) has accused the Russian special services in the cyber attack using a virus-the extortioner Petya, which was recorded on June 27. This is reported by many Ukrainian media, including UNIAN news Agency.
According to the SBU, a cyber attack on government, financial, energy and transport sectors and private enterprises «aimed at destabilization socially-a political situation in the country.»
«The infection was planned in advance… the Main purpose of the virus was the destruction of important data and disruption of public and private institutions of Ukraine to spread panic among the population», – is spoken in the SBU message.
The Ukraine virus attack suffered by banks, the international airport in Kiev, energy company «Ukrpochta» «an Ukrtelecom» and the Ministry of infrastructure.
Note that in Russia the victims of hackers were the company «Rosneft» and «Bashneft».
