The sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong-UN will attend the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic games to be held in South Korea, reports the BBC.
28-year-old Kim yo-Jong is the younger sister of Kim Jong-UN, last year became a new member of the Politburo of the ruling workers ‘ party of Korea.
Kim Yu-Jeong was the second woman in the history of the DPRK, took the key post in the North Korean government. The first was Kim Kyong-Hui – the sister of former General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
It is known that Jung included in the sanctions list of the USA in connection with the involvement in human rights violations in the DPRK.
Earlier it was reported that in South Korea arrived North Korean delegation of 280 people, 229 of which member of the ensemble of the cheerleaders. The delegation also included 21 journalists and members of the North Korean Olympic Committee.
We will remind that South Korea has offered to begin high-level talks with North Korea on 1 Jan. This proposal came after new year’s address North Korean leader, in which he stated that he is open to talks with Seoul.
