The Supreme court of Russia dismissed the appeal of the organization «administrative centre of Jehovah’s Witnesses» and upheld the legality of the decision to ban the organization, adopted in April of this year, reports RIA Novosti.
The court also reaffirmed its decision in the claim of the Russian Ministry of justice that the property of the centre will be forfeited in favor of the state, and for refusing to implement the court’s judgment of the adherents of the movement will be criminalized.
We will remind, in April of this year, the justice Department appealed to verhovye court with the claim against «Jehovah’s Witnesses». Officials argued that the merger violates the «statutory goals and objectives and current legislation.»
