Friday, 30 June, 45-year-old therapist Henry Bello, armed with a rifle, AR-15, opened fire on employees of the medical center Bronx-Lebanon, located in the Bronx, new York, reports the New York Times.
In the shooting death of his colleague, the woman’s name is not reported. Six more people were wounded.
Bello tried to commit self-immolation, and then shot himself in the head. According to police, the victims could be more, if not professional actions of employees of the medical center. In particular, seeing that one of the doctors shot in the leg, and colleagues used as a harness the fire hose. Eyewitnesses said that the clinic staff and patients were hiding in the houses and offices.
Until 2015 Bello worked in Bronx-Lebanon, but was forced to resign after he was accused of sexual harassment. A few years ago he was arrested on suspicion of sex offenses.
The mayor of new York bill de Blasio said that the attack was not a terrorist act. Most likely, it is related to the relationship between Henry Bello and his former colleagues.
