The UN Security Council on Monday evening, September 11, adopted a resolution on introduction of additional sanctions against the DPRK.

The resolution provides for the restriction on the purchase of North Korea’s oil. Pyongyang will be allowed to purchase up to 2 million barrels per year, which will reduce oil imports by 10%. Also restrict the import of crude oil at the level of the last 12 months and a ban on the supply to DPRK of liquefied natural gas and gas condensate.
In addition, the document stipulates a total ban on the export from North Korea of textile products, the amount of which in 2016 amounted to 752,5 million dollars, as well as the results of the new work permits for North Korean workers.
