Wednesday, March 7, a Special UN Tribunal for Lebanon in the Hague condemned the terrorist act the murder of Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri and more than 20 people. This murder was done in February 2005.
In a special notice of the Tribunal in the Hague, which is widely quoted by Lebanese and other Arab media, stated that the evidence presented by the prosecutors, «can» lead to convictions against the four suspects. This means, Reuters news Agency reports that the lawyers of the suspects who was at large, must present evidence of innocence of their clients.
The lawyer of one of suspects – Hussein Hassan, Onasi – demanded early excuses, saying that all the evidence against him was circumstantial. Judge Janet Noseworthy rejected this claim as unfounded, stressing that the phone records can not be attributed to the circumstantial evidence.
Lawyers for other suspects – Salim Jamil Ayyash, Hassan Habib Merhi and Assad Hassan Sabra – were not achieved, the preliminary justification.
All the suspects are activists of «Hezbollah».
March 8, held an organizational meeting of the court with the lawyers of the suspects.
This trial runs from 16 January 2014. The process is closely watched in Lebanon and other Arab countries.
Rafik Hariri was killed in a suicide truck bomb explosion in Beirut 14 February 2005. With him died 21 others. One of the consequences of the assassination of former Prime Minister of Lebanon, was the withdrawal of the Syrian army from the country.
In the summer of 2011 were the names of four suspects: Salim Jamil Ayyash, Mustafa amine badreddin, Hussein Hassan, Onasi and Assad Hassan Sabra. In the fall of 2013, it was announced the name of the fifth suspect: Hassan Habib Merhi.
In January 2014, the Kuwaiti newspaper «al-Jarida» reported that serious allegations of the involvement of the leaders of Hizbullah to the Hariri murder Tribunal gave the Israeli secret service, followed the terrorists. According to this, the preparation of the Hariri assassination, along with other representatives of Hizbullah, was involved in Mustafa Badr al-DIN, Imad Mughniyah and Hasan al-Lakis. Mughniyah was destroyed in 2008, al-Lakis – in 2013, Badr ad-DIN – in 2016 (but the court in the Hague refused to consider him dead, because they were not presented compelling evidence of his death).

13 June 2007. Killed Walid, ADO, Chairman of the parliamentary faction of the anti-Syrian party «al-Mustaqbal», led by the Lebanese opposition leader Saad Hariri.
19 Sep 2007. Killed Anotan will Ranum, member of Parliament from the Phalange party.
12 Dec 2007. Killed the operations chief of the Lebanese army Brigadier General Francois al-Hajj. At least five people were killed, dozens of people injured.
10 September 2008. In a car bomb explosion killed a senior activist of the Pro-Syrian party, the representative of the Druze community in Lebanon Sheikh Saleh Aridi.
4 APR 2012. Attempted assassination of the leader of the Lebanese Phalangist Samir jaja. He was shot from a sniper rifle.
Oct 19, 2012. The explosion of a car bomb killed the head of police intelligence, major General Wissam al-Hasan, last confidant of Rafik Hariri.
Dec 27, 2013. The explosion in Beirut killed a former Minister of economy of Lebanon Muhammad Shattah.
