The Ukrainian Parliament will consider a bill filed last summer on the initiative of deputies of the Radical party Oksana Korchinsky and Andrey Lozovoy who offer to rename Russia to Muscovy.
This is stated in the document, published on 18 February on the official site of the Verkhovna Rada.
The authors of the project remind, that the Russian Federation bears its name illegally, and the words «Rus» and «Russia» originally meant the territory which is today Ukraine.
Edition of «News» reminds that the Deputy Oksana Korchinskaya – wife of Dmitry Korchinsky, former leader of the party UNA-UNSO banned in Russia as extremist, and the current head of the movement «Brotherhood».
In the explanatory note to the document contains a demand to prohibit the use of «the historical name of the territory of Ukraine and derived from her words as the name or a synonym of the Russian Federation». If the deputies approve the bill , the word «Russia» will represent Ukraine.
