At least 25 people were killed in a suicide attack at a mosque in Northern Pakistan on September 16. Another 34 people received injuries of varying severity.
According to preliminary data, a suicide bomber blew himself up at a mosque in Mohmand, North of Peshawar. In the mosque at the time was more than a hundred people.
Responsibility for the attack claimed by the terrorist organization Jamaat-ul-Ahra, formerly breakaway Pakistani Taliban.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack and stressed that such actions will not affect the government’s determination to destroy the terrorists.
