The Palestinian Safa news Agency reported on the completion of a nine-day visit to Egypt of a delegation of the Hamas. On the morning of 12 June, the members of the delegation returned to the Gaza strip via Rafah crossing.
The report stresses that, despite the publication of various media, no agreements were signed. The sides discussed wide range of issues concerning the Palestinian and regional politics.
The delegation was headed by Yahya Sanwar, who succeeded Ismail Haniyeh at the head of the administration of the Gaza strip. Note that, according to Palestinian and Israeli media, he met in Cairo with Muhammad Dahlan – the main opponent of Mahmoud Abbas in the Fatah movement.
In publications it was noted that the negotiations were talking about the return of Dahlan in Gaza. Hamas seeks to attract Dahlan in the property sector. This will demonstrate that the government of national unity is functioning successfully.
