Theresa may has ordered a public investigation of the fire at Grenfell Tower

The head of the British government, Theresa may has ordered to initiate a public inquiry into the fire, which completely burned down residential 120-apartment high-rise building Grenfell Tower.

Officially confirmed the death of 17 residents, but the number of victims could exceed 100 people, because firefighters do not expect to find in a burned-out house the day the surviving tenants.

Six of the 17 victims identified. Allowed to publish the name of one of the victims is 23-year-old student, refugee from Syria Mohammad Almajali. It is known that the fire caught the boy in his apartment on the 14th floor of Grenfell Tower. Awaiting rescue, Mohammad, had not managed to escape from a burning building, during the last hours of his life trying to reach their relatives in Syria. The young man managed to reach one of two Syrian friends to say goodbye and through it with the family.

In the London hospitals are still affected 37. The condition 17 of them is estimated as critical.

It is known that the building is lived from 400 to 600 people, but the exact number of people who were in the building at the time of the fire is unknown.

According to firefighters, the fire started on the fourth floor of a 24 story building. The cause of the fire is still not known.
