Indonesian police suspect three people that they killed and ate orangutan wandered into a palm plantation on the island of Borneo. This incident caused a great resonance in Indonesia.

The incident occurred in late January, but only 16 Feb attracted the attention of international news agencies.
It all started with the fact that the Internet and the local press were circulated photographs, including a severed monkey head in a pot. After publication, the police started an investigation, reports France Presse.
Investigators found the bones and meat orangutan at the plantation, and then arrested several of the workers. In the end, the police intend to indict three of them. They are threatened by punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term up to five years.
Orangutans in the nature are under threat of extinction. Today these monkeys in the wild live only on the Islands of Borneo and Sumatra.
