32-year-old Danielle porter from the city of gold coast, located in South-Eastern Australian state of Queensland, filed in the district court of Brisbane claim. The defendants in this process are the four doctors who failed to detect a malignant tumor in her breast.
The plaintiff said: two of them stated that she was «too young for breast cancer», and wrote her a referral for mammography, wrote on Sunday, March 25 edition of The Courier Mail.
Porter requires 232.000 dollars as compensation for barrenness, limitation of her left hand and ugly scars on the chest.
The article States that in the period from 2012 to 2015 the woman attended at least five doctors, and only in December 2015, she was diagnosed with third stage cancer, which later spread to the lymph nodes.
In March 2013 plastic surgeon Terrence Skamp, to whom she said that he feared breast cancer, said that «solid education» in the left breast is not cancer – she’s supposedly too young for such a diagnosis.
A similar accusation porter presented and John Arbuckle, a cosmetic surgeon from the town of Arundel, with whom she consulted in January 2012.
In 2016, the plaintiff had to raise funds with the help of citizens – the operation where she needed cost her $ 30,000. About the trouble of Danielle porter said Ben Fordham, host of one of the programs of radio 2GB, who gave her wish to raise money.
