Japanese automaker Toyota is developing an electric car with batteries of a new type. Home sales model is planned for 2022, according to news Agency Reuters, citing Japanese media.
The car will be built on a new platform. The motor will get power from solid-state batteries that can fully recharge in just a few minutes.

The press service of the Toyota did not provide further details about the new model, however, confirmed that the company post-2020 plans to start using solid-state batteries.
In early June, the Agency Kyodo, citing their own sources reported that Toyota Motor Corp. sold everything she owned shares of the American company Tesla Motors, which manufactures electric cars, and stopped working with her.
According to the news Agency, Toyota has decided to abandon cooperation with Tesla because it has its own program of development of electric vehicles. In particular, in November last year, Toyota had established a special unit, whose task is to develop batteries.
