Prime Minister of Tunisia Youssef Shahed, who is in Germany on an official visit, met with Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel in the negotiations, denied that his country was not in a hurry to take its refugees who have not received asylum from Europe – including Anise Amri, by «Christmas attack» in Berlin.
Shahed also rejected the idea of the establishment in Tunis of the centers designed to ease the burden on the Europeans, writes on Tuesday, February 14, the news Agency Reuters.
«Tunisia is a very young democracy, and I don’t think she will be able to organise camps for refugees», – the Prime Minister explained his reluctance to tackle this problem.
The Tunisian leader also claimed that the social services of his country are working well and the main problem of Europe – migrants arriving from Libya to Italy. He believes that the German authorities should improve the writing of documents that would enable refugees to return back to Tunisia.
«Illegal migrants who arrive on a false document that is the main obstacle to their return home,» says Shahed.
