Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu urged the United States to Express unequivocal support to the struggle of Union troops operating in Syria by Kurdish units of the Alliances of self-defense, known as the YPG.
Ankara believes YPG is an offshoot of the PKK, a recognized terrorist group not only by Turkey but also the United States with the European Union. For Syrian Kurds, Turkey has placed the responsibility for the recent terrorist attack in the capital that claimed 28 lives.
Official Washington refuses to recognize the terrorist units of the Syrian Kurds, who are one of the few forces able to fight on the battlefield with units of the terrorist group «Islamic state».
«We expect our American allies only support Turkey without any «if» and «but». As a result of the attack killed 28 people. We expect Washington’s statements that any threat to Turkey will be perceived as a threat to the US,» davutoğlu said.
The situation is closely monitored by Russia, embarked on the path of confrontation with Turkey. With the support of the Russian air force the Syrian Kurds successfully develop the offensive side of the Syrian border. The Turkish government has stated that it will not allow the establishment in Syria of a Kurdish state formation.
