The national security Council of Turkey, headed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, demanded that Kurdish fighters to evacuate located in the North-West of Syria Manbij district.
«We demand terrorists to leave the area Manuja. Otherwise, Turkey will not hesitate to take the initiative – as it has done in other cases,» reads the Council statement.
The document also contains a threat to take the war to the East Bank of the Euphrates, in the district, which is considered the area of responsibility of the United States. It threatens a clash between the two largest armies of the block of NATO.
We will remind that on March 20, after completion of the fighting in Afrin, Erdogan has put before the participants of «operation Olive branch» new goal: to oust the Kurdish fighters from the border areas not only in Syria but in Iraq.
On 25 March he said that units of the Turkish army entered Sinjar, located on the Iraqi territory. The command of the Iraqi army have denied this statement, saying that the border in its entirety is under the control of Federal authorities.
