A high-level representative of the Turkish government said on 5 February that the Russian accusations in the preparation of a military invasion in Syria are groundless, reported by Today’s Zaman.
A source in the Turkish government said that Ankara has no plans or intentions of organizing military intervention in Syria and the campaign forces of the army.
He reminded that Turkey is in the anti-terrorist coalition and acts within that block. According to him, Ankara is not going not going to act unilaterally.
We will remind, the representative of the Ministry of defense of Russia Igor Konashenkov February 4 spoke about the evidence of preparation of the invasion of Turkish troops in Syria: We have good reason to suspect intensive training of the Turkish military invasion of the territory of a sovereign state – the Syrian Arab Republic signs of covert training of the Turkish Armed forces to action in Syria, we capture more and more».
