According to the report of the General staff of the Turkish armed forces, the military struck a mine during the inspection and demining of the territory of one of settlements of the district, reports Anadolu Agency.
On 18 March, the city of Afrin and its surroundings was captured by soldiers of the opposition to the Assad regime forces together with the Turkish army.
Recall that the operation «Olive branch», designed to create a safety zone over the Turkish-Syrian border, was launched on January 20. The Turkish army was not ready for the fierce resistance of the Kurdish militants.
