The ARD TV channel (Germany) reported that two living members of the SS Einsatzgruppen (death squads) under the command from commander Otto Rasch, 94-year-old Kurt Gosdeck and 95-year-old Herbert WAHLER, are suspected of involvement in war crimes during the Second world war, including the mass execution of Jews at Babi Yar.
Gosdeck and Valerie confirmed that indeed was in the ranks of the SS, however, denied his involvement in the shootings. While Kurt Gosdeck said engaged exclusively in the repair of equipment and knew nothing about the mass executions, and WAHLER from any comments have refused.
According to non-governmental organization «Simon Wiesenthal Center», data on Godeke and Valera was transferred to the German authorities in 2014, but only recently has it been established exactly where they live.
Head of Centre information about the crimes of the national socialists in Ludwigsburg Jens Rommel stressed that the organization is concerned about data received Godeke and Valera, but she has no evidence to press charges against one or the other.
