The attorney-General and Minister of justice Jeff sessions said in a letter to the Chairman of the Senate intelligence that he intends to comment on the testimony of a former Director of the FBI James Komi, according to Reuters.
It is unknown whether the sessions intend to give public testimony or to appear before the Board behind closed doors.
The former head of the FBI, James Comey, in his speech before the Senate Committee on intelligence, said that the President of the United States Donald trump slandered him and misled citizens. He also said that the fact that the Kremlin’s intervention in the course of American elections does not cause doubts.
Recall that in March became aware that Jeff sessions twice met with the Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergei Kislyak during the election campaign of Donald trump. That the new attorney General has concealed his contacts with the Russian Ambassador, became known immediately after the U.S. House of representatives, it was decided to create a Commission that will examine the nature of the contacts between the election headquarters of Donald trump and the Kremlin.
