The coordinator «the Left front» Sergey Udaltsov on Saturday, September 23, announced his detention on Strastnoi Boulevard in Central Moscow.
«Before the event «anti-capitalism», which, due to the fact that it is not agreed upon, should take the form of mass celebrations, I was on the way to the Boulevard, literally, when I was crossing the street near the cinema «Russia», was detained by the police. Said I collected unauthorized action and prevent the passage of citizens», – quotes the opposition leader, the Agency «Interfax».
«At a time when I was detained, no banners, no flags were not, we were just sitting at a stoplight, wanted to cross the road with me were a few dozen people. Consider his detention illegal,» – said Udaltsov.
A little later, the opposition leader said that the number of detainees on Strastnoy Boulevard exceeded 30 people. According to him, among the detained are the representatives of «Left front», the unregistered party «the Other Russia» and other organizations.
In turn, the representative «Other Russia» Alexander Averin told reporters that among the detainees, the organization’s founder Eduard Limonov.
For all those detained during the unauthorized rally in Moscow protocols on violation of rules of holding mass events, six people are awaiting trial in police departments, said Averin on Saturday evening.
«Leave it to the police station to court on Monday, six people, five «national Bolsheviks» and Sergei Udaltsov. The others were released or are released,» – said the representative «Other Russia».
According to him, those who are left in the police Department until Monday, protocols at part 8 of article 20.2 of the administrative code («repeated violation of the rules of holding mass events»), the remaining part 5 of the same article («violation of rules of holding mass events»).
Only an unsanctioned rally were detained 41 people, said Averin.
