The Russian oppositionist, the leader of the «Left front» Sergei Udaltsov, a few days ago released from prison for organizing mass riots, stated that Alexei Navalny deliberately set up people arrested.
«Navalny has offered to put people in front of the cinema «Drummer». You cannot deliberately expose people arrested», — quotes Udaltsov Газета.Ru.
The opposition leader also said that he is not going to rally behind Alexei Navalny, RIA Novosti reported.
«Navalny is not my candidate. I’m not going to hold a meeting for him,» – said Udaltsov on Thursday, August 10, at a press conference. According to him, he is ready to protest against corruption and other issues, and «not PR Bulk».
«To go against corruption – always a pleasure, we are ready and open to cooperation, but I’m strongly against that, we again tried to use as cannon fodder in their interests and collusion, it will not work, don’t count on us. And so we are ready to cooperate if the protest is held under adequate and correct slogans, we are always in it will participate,» – said Udaltsov.
He added that he soon plans to meet with representatives of the opposition: «will Meet with these people, including Navalny, discuss all of these situation to understand… If I get this understanding means that our further cooperation possible.»
Sergei Udaltsov was sentenced together with his colleague Leonid Razvozzhaeva to 4.5 years in a General regime colony for the organization of mass riots on Bolotnaya square in Moscow in may 2012. On 8 August he was released from prison in Tambov region in connection with the completion of the sentence.
