Kyiv has extended the sanctions list against Russian companies and citizens. In particular, it included the company «Yandex», «Kaspersky Lab» and «Doctor Web» and social network «Vkontakte», «Classmates» and resources Mail.ru.
Just extended the list includes 1228 468 individuals and companies, wrote on Tuesday, may 16, the news Agency RIA Novosti.
Apart from the above listed companies in the sanctions list included a number of Russian media, including MIA «Russia today», «Star», TVC, radio, NTV plus, Ren and RBC.
In addition, Kiev has imposed personal sanctions against a number of Russian journalists. Deputy Director of the Center for Ukrainian and Belarusian studies at Moscow state University Bogdan Bezpalko believes that Kiev’s decision about blocking the Russian social networks and other online resources talking about the inability of the Ukrainian authorities to impose real sanctions, economic and financial.
According to him, such a ban is «another unfriendly act» of Kiev against Russia, «an expression of distrust of its own citizens» and «a useless action».
A member of the Duma Committee on information policy Evgeny Revenko said that the sanctions Kiev threatened to suspend relations between Russians and Ukrainians.
According to the expert, the position of Kiev deprives Ukrainians of the opportunity to enjoy a comfortable Yandex services (navigation systems, reference materials, and so on) which are irrelevant for propaganda or politics: «Proclaiming European openness, in fact, the current Ukrainian authorities are trying to restrict people in their rights and freedoms and strike a blow for millions of users… to Build a «great Ukrainian cyberscene» network components, users will always find these attempts to get around».
