Vice President of Iraq Iyad Allawi said that the two largest terrorist groups in the world – the «Islamic state» and al-Qaida — are in talks about creating a Union. According to him, information received from reliable sources.
«Negotiations are going on directly between the emissaries of al-Baghdadi and al-Zawahiri,» he said, referring to the leader of the IG Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and the leader of «al-Qaeda» Ayman al-Zawahiri.
We recall that IG is «affiliated group» of «al-Qaeda», and the reason for the split was the extreme radicalism of the «Islamic state». After gaining independence, the followers of al-Baghdadi, launched a massive offensive in Syria and Iraq, creating a self-proclaimed «Caliphate».
Groups would compete for funding and supporters, occasionally engaging in armed confrontation on the battlefield. However, the recent defeat of the jihadists make the Union worthwhile.
