The Syrian authorities claim that the victims of a series of terrorist attacks carried out on February 21, militants of the «Islamic state» in Damascus and HOMS, were at least 140 people, hundreds of people were injured.
As previously reported, on the morning of 21 February, there was a double bombing in the Central city of HOMS. In the area of al-Zahraa inhabited by alawites, were detonated two car bomb. According to the London-based organization Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the victims of this attack were no less than 57 people, more than 100 injured.
At about the same time the attacks were carried out in the South of Damascus, in the Shiite quarter of the side Sainam. There blew up three suicide bombers and at least one bomb car. In total killed at least 83 people, more than 200 were injured.
Law enforcement bodies managed to detain two suspected coordinators of the attacks.
Syrian authorities blamed the attacks on ISIS. According to the Lebanese TV channel «al-Mayadin», the guide of the IG confirmed that the militants of this organization has carried out terrorist attacks in Damascus and HOMS.
