Yigal Amir, sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, intends to seek reconsideration. This was reported on page Amir’s wife, Larissa of Trimbobler-Amir, in the social network facebook lawyer Gabi Shahar.
According to published reports, these days formed group of advocates that intend, with the knowledge and consent of Yigal Amir, to file a request for reconsideration.

The decision for reconsideration may be made solely by the Supreme court, and since the founding of the state, such decisions were made only 26 times.
The reason for retrial may be presented evidence that one of the cardinal testimony or evidence on the basis of which the sentence was given, is deliberately falsified. Another reason may be the emergence of new evidence, which by themselves me a picture of the incident and questioned the current sentence.
Recall that Yigal Amir was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Yitzhak Rabin, as well as six years in prison for the wounded security guard Yoram Rubin. Amir has been in prison for more than 22 years.
