The government approved the proposal of Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon («Kulan») to appoint to the post of head of Housing team at the Ministry of Finance Zeev Bielski, who currently holds the post of mayor of Raanana.
69-year-old Zeev Bielski in the past, he held various management positions in the public sector, was a member of the Knesset, a member of the parliamentary Commission on foreign Affairs and defense, was the administrative Director of the Jewish Agency «Sohnut» and Chairman of the «world Zionist organization».
In recent years, as the head of the municipality of Raanana, Zeev Bielski engaged in the development of the city, worked extensively in the field of planning and development. He also performed a range of duties as the Deputy Chairman of the Union of local authorities, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Agency.
Zeev Bielski graduated from the economic faculty of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. To work in his new position he will start on 10 April this year until 30 April the current head of the Housing staff Avigdor Yitzhaki will introduce his successor the ropes.
